Ph.D Materials Science, Caltech 2018
M.S Materials Science, Caltech 2015
B.S. Mechanical Engineering, Columbia 2013

I am currently the Stephen Timoshenko Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellow in the Mechanics and Computation Group (Mechanical Engineering) at Stanford. My research interests include 1) understanding the fracture mechanics of heterogeneous and hierarchical biomaterials (such as bone) to develop the next generation of structural biomimetic materials and 2) developing metal additive manufacturing techniques that expand the suite of printable materials and enable manipulation of the microstucture and properties of the final parts.
